I always wanted to build a website. So I did.

I figured some of the things I do might be of interest to others. This is a place for them all to go. I live and play in beautiful Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Forestry

I am a professional forester (RPF) in Ontario. You will often find me amongst the trees with my dog Jackie.

Drones

I became a drone pilot in 2024 for work. Since then, drone operations have also evolved into a hobby and I continue to explore new ways to leverage the technology.

Radio

I hold Restricted Operator – Maritime (ROC-M) and Aeronautical (ROC-A) qualifications and I am an accredited examiner for the ROC-A certificate. I became licensed as an amateur (HAM) operator in 2025. My callsign is VA3EHS.

Open access

I am a big proponent of open access software and knowledge. I continue to strive to make my work accessible to all.
